Declaration of Principles
When women advance, the economy thrives.
Maïa Movement
We are undergoing a profound transformation of our economic, social, and organizational models. Value chains are being redefined. Corporate expectations are evolving. And performance can no longer be decoupled from impact, equity, and sustainability.
In this context, one reality persists: women entrepreneurs contribute decisively to economic growth, innovation, and territorial vitality yet they continue to face systemic obstacles that limit their access to opportunities, markets, and networks of influence.
Convinced that supporting women entrepreneurs is a strategic lever for collective prosperity, the Maïa Movement has built a clear consensus around seven founding principles. This Declaration of Principles is the collective foundation that gives our action credibility. It is not a petition : it is an adherence to a shared economic vision.
We invite the entire business community, institutions, and the public to stand with us. Because alone we go fast — but together, we go further.
The seven principles that drive us
Our Founding Principles
"The exchanges and collaborative work led by the Maïa Movement have built a clear consensus around the following seven principles."
Women and People at the Heart of the Economy
The economy is a tool in service of the people who make it thrive. Women's well-being, recognition, and ability to grow must guide every economic decision.
Supporting Women Entrepreneurs Is an Economic Priority
Supporting women is not symbolic, it is a strategic choice essential to the performance, resilience, and competitiveness of the economy.
A Resolutely Inclusive Movement
Diversity of backgrounds, paths, and expertise is a major driver of innovation and value creation. Inclusion is not an option it is our foundation.
A Responsible and Sustainable Economic Transformation (ESG)
ESG issues are intrinsically linked to performance. Our decisions account for their environmental, social, and societal impact.
A Strong, Connected Local Economy Open to the World
Resilient local ecosystems are the backbone of a strong national economy. We build bridges between regions, sectors, and markets.
Building Tomorrow's Economy Through Innovation and Technology
Technology is a lever for equity. Maïa uses innovation to create real connections and expand access to opportunities for all.
Collective Commitment for Systemic Change
Systemic change demands collective action. Maïa's strength is its 15,000-strong community choosing to act together with ambition and solidarity.
Economic transformation starts with the commitment of all.
Every signature counts. Every voice amplifies change. Join the Maïa Movement and be part of those building a more inclusive and high-performing economy.
